چکیده

Intense heat-mass transfer in a gas flow to condensation surface is studied with the consistent atomistic and kinetic theory methods. The simple moment method utilized for solving Boltzmann equation (BKE) nonequilibrium its condensation, while molecular dynamics (MD) simulation of similar used verification BKE results. We demonstrate that can provide steady profiles close those obtained from MD simulations both subsonic supersonic regimes flows. Surprisingly, elementary shown results have good accuracy wide range parameters. confirms condensates on at distinctive temperature after formation standing shock front reference this surface, which be interpreted as permeable condensating piston. last produces compression but completely absorbs incoming contrast common impermeable divides vapor zones, compressed happens regime. complete partial are discussed. It above certain temperatures determined by Hugoniot runaway stops an inflow ceased.

Titan in subsonic and supersonic flow

[1] The Titan-Saturn plasma interaction is studied using a global numerical kinetic model. The developed selfconsistent three-dimensional quasi-neutral hybrid model is used to study Titan’s interaction with supersonic and subsonic plasma flow. The subsonic flow case represents Titan in the Kronian magnetosphere during the Voyager-1 flyby. The supersonic and weakly supermagnetosonic flow cases a...

Stability of Subsonic Jet Flows

An overview of recent experimental results on instability and dynamics of jets at low Reynolds numbers is given. Round and plane, macro and micro jets are under the consideration. Basic features of their evolution affected by initial conditions at the nuzzle outlet and environmental perturbations are demonstrated.

Adaptation of Structured Grid for Supersonic and Transonic Flows

Two distinct redistribution grids - adaptation techniques, spring analogy and elliptic grid generator are applied to two-dimensional steady, inviscid, shocked flows, and the ability of each technique is examined and compared. Euler equations are solved base on Roe's Reimann solver approach to simulate supersonic flow around a sphere, transonic flow about an airfoil and supersonic flow in a symm...
